Abstract

A method for examining the market areas of bank branches is presented. In this, a multiplicatively Voronoi diagram is proposed, which is evaluated by the topological overlay method. In the case study, the weights are evaluated as a function of the employees of each branch of the bank. The resulted diagram has been compared with the one composed by the ordinary Voronoi diagram. The method has been applied to data from a Greek bank in the wider area of Athens.
