Προγραμματισμός πολιτιστικής και κοινωνικής ενεργοποίησης των αστικών ελεύθερων χώρων: η περίπτωση του Δυτικού Τείχους Θεσσαλονίκης

Σκοπός του άρθρου είναι η έρευνα του προγραμματισμού πολιτιστικής και κοινωνικής ενεργοποίησης των αστικών ελεύθερων χώρων. Εξετάζονται οι έννοιες των αστικών πολιτιστικών τοπίων, της πολιτιστικής γεωγραφίας και της πολιτιστικής οικονομίας. Στη συνέχεια αναλύονται οι εφαρμογές τους σε έργα αρχιτεκτονικής τοπίου στην πόλη και περιγράφεται η σχέση τους με τις πολιτιστικά και κοινωνικά καθορισμένες αστικές αναπλάσεις. Η μεθοδολογία ορίζεται από το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο και στη συνέχεια εφαρμόζεται στο Δυτικό Τείχος Θεσσαλονίκης, με στόχο την πολιτιστική ανάδειξή του μέσα από χωρικές προτάσεις που ενεργοποιούν τις κοινωνικές ομάδες συμβίωσης στην ευρύτερη περιοχή εμβέλειάς του. Η έρευνα ολοκληρώνεται με σειρά σχεδίων, όπου οι έννοιες-κλειδιά που αναπτύχθηκαν στο θεωρητικό κομμάτι μεταφράζονται σε χωρικές προτάσεις.
