Analyzing the trade union landscape in Greece is an extremely difficult and arduous endeavor. Part of the aforementioned ensemble is the area of education, in which significant changes have taken place in recent decades. Teachers as a professional team present peculiarities such as the large number of employees, job permanence, high level of studies, low professional autonomy, the division of all members, as well as the large proportion of women. The question is whether and to what extent the above-mentioned peculiarities determine the forms of collective action that they adopt, but also whether there are differences in the latter. Also, whether they constitute a structured strategy, in order to influence the state and its decisions, or simply constitute a set of divisive claims.
