To ‘Προοίμιο’ της 18ης Μπρυμαίρ του Λουδοβίκου Βοναπάρτη: Ένα επιστημολογικό κείμενο αναφοράς για τη θεμελίωση μιας θεωρίας για την Ιστορία

Abstract

This paper attempts to present how Karl Marx offers the intellectual framework to elaborate a theory of history. This is done by analysing the famous preface of the 18^th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte (1852) in which Marx presents how people make their own history. The paper shows that Marx’s pluralistic approach and his the dialectical analysis between structure and agency may be used as a backbone for the creation of a modern theory of history. This theory, following Callinicos, is seated on three sub-theories: a theory of structure, a theory of transformation and a theory of directivity.
