Abstract

The paper examines the role of Public Diplomacy as a tool of foreign policy in the 21st century, the opportunities it faces with the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the leaping development of Artificial Intelligence and, in this context, its interaction with international economic relations. It also studies and analyzes the challenges Public Diplomacy has to face, as well as the risks inherent in its combination with unprecedented technological developments. Furthermore, the paper examines the performance of the "tools" of Public Diplomacy during the COVID 19 pandemic and indulges in the new balances that have emerged in international politics.
