Among the various types of wordless books, one particularly intriguing category is known as “wimmelbooks”. These books feature numerous intricate visual stories involving multiple characters. The structural concept behind these books introduces a distinct reading experience compared to traditional children's picture books. The narratives intertwine and refer to one another in a manner that often defies strict separation. Consequently, our initial objective in this study is to elucidate and analyze the distinctive features of multi-narratives. Subsequently, we aim to differentiate between various types of multi-narratives and, finally, emphasize the reading challenges they present to their intended readers (Iser, 1974).
