Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study which co-operative teaching methods can serve as the basic teaching and educational tools for the realization of Olympic Education programmes at schools. Today, it has been observed intense mobility in the field of teaching, with the introduction in the educational systems child centered teaching approaches. For the implementation of Olympic Education programs co-operative teaching methods are used, which stems from modern teaching concepts which are used by the contemporary pedagogical science. The main methodological approach for introducing Olympic Education programs is the project method, which has been used for the implementation of educational programmes in almost all the countries of the European Union, but also in other countries of the world. From this research, it was found that the efforts of the modern school in introduction innovative projects like the Olympic Education presupposes the establishment of co-operative teaching methods and especially the project method. Those instructional approaches are based on the active involvement of students and teachers alike.
