Abstract

Undoubtedly, there is a distinct shift in motor skills learning in the field of physical education and sport nowadays. Specifically, instructions providedto the trainees during motor execution, has been the subject of a long study.The objective of the present study was to appoint the researches related to the theory of focus of attention instructions. Accordingto the overview the external focus of attention is superior and more beneficial at performance of simple and complex motor skills. At the same time, external focus of attention is essential for all the learning stages (not only for quick skill learning but also for the automatization of motor response and the improvement of decision making skill).
