Abstract

One of the 5 bills submitted in Parliament in 1899 was ΒΧΚΑ΄ Act, alleging the gym at school and athletic level. This law was considered the finest of his time, and he was followed by nine executable decrees to implement key provisions, printed instructions for teaching gymnastics and explanatory reports. Among other stated: lessons of gymnastics is primary and compulsory, taught at least three hours a week in a gym attached to the school, the foundation of the School of Gymnastics and Academic Gymnasium, qualifications of trainers in schools and in School of Gymnastics and the definition of monthly earnings, retraining abroad for two trainers, the establishment of a school inspector as well as school and gymnastic demonstrations. Was an important milestone for
gymnastics and sport in Greece, gave impetus to upgrade the gym class in education and finalized the new ideological
framework reference. Many Laws and Decrees were based on ΒΧΚΑ΄ Law. Through them became the government recognition and the final establishment of the Swedish gymnastic system.
