Research evidences indicate that movement and creativity are closely linked. Researchers have designed specific tests to evaluate children's creativity observing their motor responses. Intervention programs have been implemented to promote children’s’ creative potential through movement. An investigation of European school curricula that promote creativity, set Physical Education (PE) among the most popular subjects in schools. In Greece, at least the last decade, the motor creativity of children has been promoted through the curriculum of PE, mainly in the first grades. Nevertheless, the research that supports the promotion of creativity in PE is very limited, since it focuses mainly on the evaluation of the motor responses of children. Worldwide, though it's a necessity to investigate, through implicit theories, the perceptions of teachers for creativity and its promotion in various disciplines, it seems that this kind of research is still on a preliminary stage.
