Abstract

Evaluation is a function that is strongly connected with every educational procedure. In this review pedagogies’ aspects and attitudes towards evaluation in physical education are presented. Results of previous studies referring to evaluation methods are also examined in this paper. There is also a reference to modern types of evaluation such as authentic evaluation and peer evaluation techniques. It is suggested by the authors that research in the educational area referring to the evaluation methods in physical education should continue in order to help physical educators to work as a whole in this particular area, providing a much better product in physical education classes.
